DBS / PVG CHILD PROTECTION COURSE
(Open to new (must attend) and renewal applicants)

The following are the main points covered on the day:

BTC Policies

Safeguarding procedures

CRB/DBS disclosure and PVG check procedures
Can be completed on the day if requested prior to the course

Scotland are required to have a valid CRB/DBS under BTC policies

5hr course

£15/ attendee

Refresher must attend if over 2 years

New Instructors and assistants to attend

Please Note: The DBS / PVG Course on Saturday the 25th of January 2020 is an important date for all newly registered BTC instructors to attend. If you are now registered with the BTC since the last Child Protection course and have not attended a course yet, you must attend. Instructors make sure your assistants also do or their indemnity insurance could be void?

The course is also open to renewal instructors that have not been on a course for the last two years. The introduction of the new government child protection safeguard procedures have now been put in place by the British Taekwondo Council.

Mr Darren Twelvetree represents the BTC as the Verifier (assessor) for the GTUK association. Darren has improved our child protection / health and safety courses to a new level, his presentation is professional and interesting and many queries on child protection can be answered on the course.

If any black belt intends to open a new club in the future this a good opportunity to attend as to register with the BTC requires you have DBS / PVG clearance.
