Black Belt Promotional Test

Black belt test Saturday 7th of May… Slightly less applicants entered the test this first half-year, but considering the time of year just after the Easter break there was still a large turnout for this type of occasion.

This allowed more time to test the students more exhaustively in every aspect of TKD and successful students certainly knew they deserved their promotions. There is now even a proposal that junior students also test for destruction.

The test was run very professionally and the standards were high, the management team along with Master Oldham gave out the presentations of certificates, belts and pins, along with photos, autographs on the day. Added awards were also presented to the best students with the highest points of the test and they were as follows…

Peewee & Junior Mr Robbie Wells (Morecambe Club)

Vet & Adult Miss Daniela Bright (Loughborough Club)

Master Oldham warmly thanked the parents and supporters, and gave a very special thanks to all the instructors who worked diligently & professionally throughout the test we certainly have now a great team of instructors working happily together for a better future…

ITF – Midland Championships Sunday 8th of May… Master Harry a friend of Master Oldham’s for many years kindly invited us to the championships. There was a large entry of competitors from as far away as Ireland competing. Master Oldham was introduced as special guest at the start of the championships and also on meeting many old friends from past secured other championships to enter perhaps at future dates.

The championship was buzzing; trophies were of high standards, and competition fierce especially from the competitors from Ireland. The English squad entered 34 competitors in total, and considering this was their first encounter of many to come did extremely well with 32 medals under their belt first time out. The new squad management team are already proving to be a great success and we should congratulate them all, what a difference its made… Full report can be found on our squad face book site

Our warm thanks goes out to Master Harry and his team for his kind invitation and proficient approach, which made this a most enjoyable day.
